Rumours from a good source that trainers Allsop and Hutton are thinking of quitting Towcester :eek!: If true the honeymoon period was brief.

I've also heard they've laid the wrong king of sand at that track (hence the dry kick-back and inconsistent times) So they might have to relay the track ??

What I can't understand was as soon as I saw the track I said to Tony it would suit railers as the straights are very short. When I said this to Mark he said trial times said it didn't.
After a few months of railers doing much better they started mucking about with the going to make it a leveller playing field. If a "part time" greyhound person like me can see that, how come the "pros" couldn't.

Is it me, or is our 'link' to Towcester not working anymore ??

Shame though the original 'link' we had, gave us all the trials/race card/old results, all on the same page..
The one I found only gives the race card on the day of the race, the same as Racing Post and the Sporting Life .. (sigh)

I know I have said this before but on the opening night I said to Mark that the track shape, oval, was wrong. His comment was, do you think so! There are tracks all around the world, some wider and therefore have longer more sweeping bends and those with sharp bends. They have 1 thing in common, a decent straight, Towcester hasn't. You are therefore putting more pressure, over longer periods, on the weakest most injury prone part of the dog, it's hock.
