Default Ole- Gone

Boss Solskjaer leaves Cardiff

The 41-year-old leaves the club in 17th position in the Championship after three defeats from seven games following their relegation from the Premier League.

“Having spoken with Ole on deciding the best course of action for all parties, I’m sorry to say that we have agreed that it is in the best interest of the club for us to go our separate ways," said Cardiff City chairman Mehmet Dalman.

"Ole has been a wonderful professional to work with since his arrival at the club. Due to a difference in philosophy of approach to the game, we have decided to part company amicably."

Default Pulis favourite for Cardiff job

Tony Pulis is 4/5 favourite to take the Cardiff City job, following confirmation of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s departure on Thursday.

Tony Pulis is 4/5 favourite to take the Cardiff City job, following confirmation of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s departure on Thursday.

Solskjaer travelled to London to discuss his future with club owner Vincent Tan on Wednesday, and the Norwegian officially left his post the following day.

He failed to keep the Bluebirds in the Premier League last season, and their poor form has continued in the Sky Bet Championship, with just two wins in their opening seven games.

Betting has now commenced on who will succeed the former Manchester United striker as Cardiff boss, with Pulis the early favourite while Paul Hartley is also in the running at 9/4, but he's drifted from an earlier 7/4 having indicated he plans to remain at Dundee.

Sky Bet trader Jamie Munro said: “The early indications are that Pulis is a strong candidate, but we’ve also seen a bit of money on outsider Paolo Di Canio at 20/1.

“Whether or not Pulis will be willing to work with Tan is another matter, but the Welshman certainly fits Cardiff’s needs as their odds for promotion have drifted from 5/2 to 11/2 since the start of the campaign.”

Default Felix Magath sacked by Fulham

Felix Magath has been sacked by Fulham, with Kit Symons taking over as caretaker manager.

A statement on the club's official website confirmed chairman Shahid Khan had acted following the Cottagers' dismal start to the campaign.

Fulham, relegated from the Barclays Premier League last season, lie bottom of the Championship with one point from their opening seven games.

The final straw for Khan was Wednesday night's 5-3 defeat at leaders Nottingham Forest, where visiting fans once again called for the German to be sacked.

Fulham's under-21 coach Symons has been placed in caretaker charge for Saturday's visit of Blackburn.

I dont see Pullis as the next Cardiff manager

I think he will be looking for another premier league job (maybe West Ham or Newcastle)
