This is what Dave " devilfish" Ulliot had to say to a question:

"I dont play high online. I dont like to . I was winning $70,000 and i banked some 10 months ago , i havent had a winning night since and it scares me a bit . I dont think playing online has anything to do with cash poker.Most of the big players i know struggle to win online. When i sit in places like the victoria casino most of the good players say they dont play online and say they cant beat it. For instance Robin keston and John Beevers- regular winners in the cash games - cant beat online. Your probably better off if you're good at bingo

To win consistently is very hard .

It really is a thing of 'willpower' and having a clear plan and mindset..
The problem that applies to nearly all players is, that being online your mind wanders to other things, such as checking emails or looking at sport or any other form of media (facebook/twits)
To play and win consistently at cash games is set targets ie: If your sit down is $20 playto +$40 then leave .
Don't feel any conscience about 'hit n run' many players do it and so should you ..
As for tournaments, thats different, but more of a social pleasure game .Again i think you need a plan as to how you approach tournaments but in those you shouldn't think about winning until you're passed the 'bubble' and then, use your skill to make the final tables ..
