Premier League Review

Sunderland have been relegated from the Premier League after losing 1-0 at home to Bournemouth as Hull drew 0-0 at Southampton.

David Moyes' side headed into their game knowing their fate would be sealed if they failed to match the Tigers' result at St Mary's.

Both games were goalless heading into the final few minutes, but in the 88th minute Josh King netted the winner for the Cherries at the Stadium of Light.

The Black Cats nearly had a reprieve when Southampton were awarded a penalty for Alfred N'Diaye's foul on Maya Yoshida, but Dusan Tadic's stoppage-time spot-kick was saved by Eldin Jakupovic.

The results left Sunderland 13 points behind fourth-bottom Hull with four games left.

Aside from King, Jamie Vardy was the only other player on target in the Premier League's four 1500 BST kick-offs, the England striker's fine goal two minutes before half-time earning Leicester a 1-0 win at West Brom.

Shinji Okazaki intercepted a back-pass and slid in Vardy for a superb lofted finish over Ben Foster as the champions' revival under Craig Shakespeare continued.

The match between Stoke and West Ham at the bet365 Stadium finished 0-0.

In the late kick-off, Burnley broke their away-day duck and eased their relegation fears as goals from Ashley Barnes and Andre Gray secured a 2-0 win at Crystal Palace.

Barnes struck after just eight minutes and Tom Heaton kept Palace at bay before substitute Gray hit a late second to ensure the Clarets finally registered their first success on the road this season.

It was also Burnley's first ever Premier League victory in London - at the 16th attempt - which lifted them above Palace and, crucially, eight points clear of the drop zone.
