world record attempt
 

morning guys
todays the day a friend of mine and sharky takes on the awesome test of breaking the world endurance test of poker his name is Dave 'alfa' Cain he used to do a lot with the poker leagues me and shark are involved in but has since moved to another
the attempt he is attempting to break the record of 72 hours 2 mins set by an american a few years back he is ideally going for 100 hours and if still ok going past that the game will be holdem heads up play which i'm sure will be really hard to concerntrate for that amount of time
it is taking place at the libary bar in lincoln and starts around 8 o'clock tonight all monies raised will be going to local charitees up there if you'd like to see any of it the site that has been set up is pokerplayingmarathon.com it will tell you more about the attempt and various facts also i believe there will be live streaming from the site once it has started

Bally, he was interviewed on Sky poker yesterday i think . They may well repeat (they usually do) again !! Blonde haired fella, he was very interesting, when asked, "why try for 100hrs, when the record is 72hrs". He replied, "because he doesn't want to have to try and break it again":'D
Talking of Sky poker , the second leg of their tour will be in Birmingham if your interested, i might see you there !!:loveme:

yes mate he was on the club on sky poker his 1st game is against simon 'aces'trumper so a nice easy one to settle him in :'D

i'm not going mate tried to get the time off work but no chance don't know when mark is going i think he is but not sure

apparently he used to be a bit of a party animal and used to stay up all weekend partying but then i guess he was drinking and having fun not really the same as concerntrating on heads up tell you what i got to take my hat off to him already past the 50 hour mark now i'm sure the hallucinations will start soon sleep deprevation can do that apparently
he's in good hands so he should be ok tomorrow nights the big one to see if he can pass the 72 hour world record i really hope he can but yeah he is looking tired now (but to be fair he don't look much different when he aint tired lol)

guys Dave stopped the record at just over 73 hours for health reasons won't go into it but he has put a post up on blonde forum he still broke the record so gotta take my hat off to him but reading his post he must of been really scared and all who were there

its on the Hendon Mob forum also...knowing Alfa as i do he genuinely isnt prone to exaggeration...very scary stuff and you just hope that there are no serious after/side effects....again, knowing him as i do he will wanna celebrate like Billy-O....hopefully he will get some decent rest before putting his body thru more abuse!!!!

Great achievement though and so made up for him.

That is rediculous.

I was able to stay up that long in college, but not for poker.

He has my respect.
