This result won't satisfactorily answer either question although it will no doubt be reported as hard fact one way or the other come the evening.

Arsenal do though, seem to retain their incredible propensity for imploding and Olivier Giroud's critics will be sharpening their knives after his extraordinary performance in Zagreb.
He has bounced back before and he will do again but whether it is in this fixture is doubtful.
The Chelsea backline has been breached on an unusually regular basis thus far with several players seemingly struggling with playing a higher line than usual 3:-)3:-) but they will surely revert to a deeper position given the pace in the Arsenal :D
