what a superb night of poker and a great story with marty smith winning

down to 15K ( 1.5 BBs) after his a k lost to floods pocket kings. (very poor call IMO with a k) especially with he chip stacks and blinds, to call an all in, for pretty much all you're chips when u r behind is poor. helmuth would have folded a k without even thinking about it which is why he is one of the greatest holdem players in the world

although marty did get lucky a few times with floods amatuer move with 45 when marty had no chips and the scandis dreadful all in with a j on flop of k j 5 but it was still superb stuff and a very deserved winner

i had £20 on marty smith 1st and eoghan o'dea 2nd @ 16/1 and £20 on eoghan o'dea 1st and marty 2nd @ 16/1

thought that my £40 was down the swanny when he went to 15k, but once ciaran o'leary went out in 3rd to leave marty and eoghan heads up £340 was sent my way B (:

I was in the pub and only saw the last 20 mins. I saw him hit the Q, I think it was I was a bit drunk, on the river when he was all in and a 2/1 underdog. I think if it had happened to you guys you would be shouting "bad beat" Does this not make him lucky?

where did you get 115/1 on marty?

just after he lost ak vs kk and went to 15k in chips ladbrokes (the stingey feckers) had him @ 16/1

and this is 15k in chips not 45k you backed him at

ladbrokes are a joke when it comes to odds
