The problem City have is they have a lot of players there who have just jumped on the "money bandwagon" exactly like what happened to Chelsea when Roman took over...Veron, Crespo,Kezman,Wright Phillips....the list goes on.....and it has taken maybe four seasons to sort this out.

Manchini will want at least 6 players of his choice and it will be interesting to see who he gets rid of...

But Hughes and City have made massive mistakes so far....Dunne the club captain was let go fairly cheaply to make way for Toure and Lescott and now is playing much bettter then those two and with a club which has more chance of sucsess in the next couple of seasons then City does..

In my opinion they should hold fire until Inter get knocked out of the champions league and get Mourhinio in who would be a much better bet then Manchini...

He should have gone for the Dunne thing alone! As for Lescott well he wouldnt catch the teams I played for!

Ohh and I agree om the Mourhinio thing

I used to go and watch Chelsea a lot before Roman came along and in some way perfered it in those days as winning a trophy was a big thing for the club and fans and now it just seems to be expected and unless its the league or Champions cup then the rest dont count....

Yes it was fun for a couple of seasons but now if we lose four league games a season wholesale changes have to be made and everywhere you turn you hear or read the "are Chelsea on the slide" speculation..

Im not too sure how patient these Arabs are but hopefully they give any new manager at least two full seasons to try to get a team together that can challenge the "Big Two".

Hughes was just in the right place at the right time when the takeover happened and giving a manager like that unlimited cash to spen is like giving a 5yr old £10 to spend in the sweet shop...:h?:

Some of the stuff they buy will be what they want but some will be because they have the money too buy what they think they might like.....
