well tonights sports personality of the year ....im quite sure its unlikely the bookies have got it wrong at pricing bradley wiggins up at 2/7 ...but , its rarely about personailties more about achievements , and i just wonder if people have little interest in cycling , and if tennis and andy murrays achievemnets this yr , will be in the forefront of peoples minds more , or even mo farahs olympic results . Its only a throwaway bet , because i think the bookies are likely not to screw this up , and its only a fun bet after all ..but prhaps 14/1 on murray isnt too bad ( even tho he has no personality 8-P)

Wiggins is 8/15 but i think Jessica Ennis might just be the one at 4/1

not sure where i saw the 2/7 about wiggo now , but just checked on betfred and hes 8/13 and murray now out to 20/1 ..ennis 3/1

I agree with you Tony - I think that David Weir deserves it more than most - Olympic Golds in 800M, 1500M, 5000M and Marathon.... (or 42,000 M)

That is some range and to show that level of achievement is head and shoulders over the rest.

Can't see him winning it though, I think it will be Ennis.

its a great shame the paralympics wasnt on the beeb , the red button option on multiple coverage would have given a lot more coverage to a wider audience

What you will find is that the people who watched the paralympics arnt really that into sport so have drifted away and will not be at all interested in the Sports personality awards...

Thus meaning those two will have NO chance tonight even though it would have been great for that side of sport to win..

Andrew Murray has done well this year but will not get enough votes due to being a little dull..

Wiggins has been fav for a while but has gone off the front pages and that may go against him..

That just leaves Jessica Ennis, Mo Farah and Rory Mcilroy to battle out for the top prize..

Golfs never done that well as individual voting goes and of course the Ryder cup team will win the TEAM OF THE YEAR but alas not to be for Rory..

Mo might go close but i think 2nd is his best chance

Overseas personality should be Usain Bolt
