Part-owner Harry Findlay has confirmed Denman is likely to reappear in the Peter Marsh Chase at Haydock next month
The Aon Chase at Newbury was thought to be the Cheltenham Gold Cup winner's likely reappearance race but with the eight-year-old ahead of schedule after a fibrillating heart scare earlier in the year, Haydock is now firmly in the equation.
"The general impression I've been getting for the last couple of weeks is he's going to want something before the Aon," Findlay confirmed.
"The handicap in the Peter Marsh seems to suit Denman and it could be an easy race for him. At the moment that's the plan. He won't run without being ready to do himself justice." ...
