Well i have to agree.......
Firstly with any form of betting the number one rule is to make a profit however big or small, for example when betting on horses in most races i may have 2 or 3 horses in the same race.
I have my biggest bet on the one i think or have heard will win and then one or two savers which gives me a better chance of winning because the more horses i have the less the bookie has to beat me. The average priced winner on the flat is 7/2 so take that into consideration when staking. Day to day races my normal stake on say a 3/1 shot will be £25 if the race has 8 or less runners and the value is there i will have another £10 win or £5 e/w on another selection bigger then 3/1 this then gives me 25% of the field, now what you have to remember is that in 90% of all races only a max of 70% of the horses can win, so really in a 8 runner race you can forget about one or maybe two horses as they have vertually no chance of winning due to certain reasons like, no good, too much weight, dont like the course or dont like the distance, now if i have two horses in the race and say there are 2 that i dont think can win that then gives me a 2/1 chance of collecting as the bookie only has 4 horses against my 2.
When you hear about pro gamblers who make a living out of betting you will see that they back multiple horses per race and people like Dave Nevison who has made millions from horse racing always bets like this. He has won the Scoop 6 more then 8 times and the bonus 4 times netting well over 2 million, the way he does it is by having maybe ALL the runners in a 5 horse race in combinations, a big outlay but still a tidy profit at the end of the day.
In big sprint races of 17 or more runners then i usually have maybe 3 or sometimes 4 in a race, NEVER leave yourself exposed with only one runner on the side that cant win (ie) low or high draw.
Always look for a bit of value when placing a bet, If you lay out £30 and get £80 back then a £50 profit is great.
A lot of punters forget the golden rule, always take a profit if one is there however small it maybe.......
Now over the next few days i will start to post races that im betting on and put up all my bets in each race for you to follow and see what i mean.
The goal line betting is a very good way to make money as once again you are giving yourself more chance of winning as you dont care who scores in a game as long as if you have overs the game has 3 or more goals (ie) The Leeds game on Tuesday a game i had overs in thinking Leeds would win easily, how wrong i was but how right i was to go high. I think INTHEKNOW will agree his overs on CHARLTON V COLCHESTER was based on Charlton winning and not as it turned out with COL UTD winning. But the bet once again gives you a small upper hand against the bookie.
Anyway i think its great were getting more and more info on here about betting management as its the most crucial part of any form of gambling, so good luck with all your bets and remember ALWAYS GIVE YOURSELF THE ADVANTAGE AGAINST THE BOOKIE............GLK
