Kane odds-on to score against Lithuania


ENGLAND manager Roy Hodgson has warned the public against anticipating Harry Kane's selection for Friday's Euro 2016 qualifier at home to Lithuania but there has been a clamour for the inclusion of the Tottenham striker, who is no bigger than 4-5 to score against the Baltic nation.

Ladbrokes go 5-4 that Kane starts against Lithuania and next Tuesday's friendly away to Italy. They offer 3-1 that he scores in both matches.

The firm have also priced up a goals match bet with Wayne Rooney over the two games offering 15-8 Kane, evens Rooney and 11-4 the tie.

The FA have handed down a three-match ban to Martin Skrtel after finding the Liverpool centre-back guilty of stamping on Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.

Skrtel misses Premier League games away to Arsenal and at home to Newcastle and an FA Cup quarter-final replay away to Blackburn.

Southampton will be without goalkeeper Fraser Forster for the rest of the season after a scan revealed he has sustained a broken kneecap.
