Not the best of weeks at the halfway stage, I'm afraid to say.

First we lost our 2 main fancies, Casey and Green, who were non-runners and of the remaining 4 picks, 2 ( Storm and McDowell ) failed to make the cut.

Gallacher has started round 3 going backwards and is now out of the hunt.

Price is at least heading in the right direction, 2 under par today after 6 holes and is currently 4 shots off the lead. He has dropped shots the last 2 days near the end of his round when getting into contention, so I shan't hold my breath.

Better things to come, I hope.
