THE SUN
•Manuel Pellegrini insists he will not let Sergio Aguero slip through his fingers at Manchester City and Frank Lampard will hold talks next month about extending his loan.
•West Brom will join Everton in the race to sign Costa Rica striker Joel Campbell from Arsenal.
•Meanwhile, the Gunners are eyeing up a move for Sporting Lisbon's William Carvalho.
•Leicester City will compete with yesterday's opponents off the pitch QPR as both clubs want to buy Toronto FC striker Jermain Defoe, who is reportedly keen on a return to the Premier League.

THE STAR
•Manchester City are planning to bring in a left-back in January with the Premier League champions lining up a £17m move for Monaco's Layvin Kurzawa.
•Arsenal are set to renew their interest in Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira who is out of contract in the summer but they could face competition from Chelsea for the Germany midfielder in January.
•Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho could also clash over Real defender Raphael Varane. The Arsenal boss is considering signing a new central defender and Varane is reported to be the latest name on his wanted list but Mourinho is also keen.

THE MAIL
•Arsenal are willing to put in a £16m offer for Everton's Republic of Ireland midfielder James McCarthy who is earmarked by Arsene Wenger and his coaching staff as a player who is ready-made for their team.
•The Gunners will also switch their attentions to making an £8m move for Ipswich Town defender Tyrone Mings in January if they are beaten to the signing of Borussia Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels by Manchester United.
•Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard could leave on a free transfer in the summer when his deal expires. His future looks increasingly uncertain as discussions over a new contract drag on.
•The Anfield side are monitoring events at QPR where the news is that Charlie Austin is not being rushed into signing a new deal with Tottenham also interested.

SUNDAY EXPRESS
•Manchester United face a difficult decision whether to offer Javier Hernandez a new contract after learning Real Madrid will decline making his loan move permanent, while Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham are among those believed to be interested in the Mexican.
•Porto have told Arsenal and Liverpool they must shell out £40million of they want to sign Colombian star Jackson Martinez.
•Arsenal are, however, reportedly not in the market for a centre back with Arsene Wenger saying he is happy with Nacho Monreal.

SUNDAY MIRROR
•Colombia striker Radamel Falcao has until April to convince Manchester United to pay £44m for him and turn his loan move from Monaco into a permanent switch.
•Leicester City are considering ditching manager Nigel Pearson and bringing in Tony Pulis.


•Arsenal have targeted Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko as Arsene Wenger aims to add some strength to his side and bring in cover for the injured Jack Wilshere
