Seemed to be a massive bias for the outside traps. If so it makes you wonder how the track staff can't prepare a fair track.

I thought the track was a bit deep tonight.....even though the times were quite good...


Domino had every chance to qualify but just didnt get home.


As i said earlier there will come a time where Eden The Kid just doesnt get round and tonight that was it .

Shame 'The Kid' went out that way - that first bend is crucial for any dog to get a clear run .
BUT fair play to the winner and his trainer,(this being his only dog in training) -

The winner 'Be Up Front' did nothing wrong and had the time in the book to do well in this event .. Good luck to them both for the final ..

Greyhound Derby Final Draw (Racing Saturday Night - 4th June)

1 Lenson Rocky (R)
2 Cloran Paddy (R)
3 Droopys Roddick (R)
4 Peregrine Falcon (R)
5 Hiya Butt (R)
6 Jaytee Jet (W)

Well as you can see from the draw there's only one wide runner, the fav' Jaytee Jet (T6) , so he should get a clear round.
However with all those railers it will be carnage at that first bend and if 'Jaytee Jet' has not got to the front at that bend he could find himself being carried out by something getting knocked out wide !

The obvious danger is the second fav 'Lenson Rocky' (T1) he's smart from the traps and could lead and will be hard to catch if Jaytee Jet has to take the scenic route as he did in his semi final ..

So is there a decent priced outsider ?
Well yes if and only 'if' they don't strap that muzzle on so tight as they did in his semi final . The Charlie Lister dog 'Cloran Paddy' (T2)
This dog completely missed the break in the first semi , but was running on to take third. However look at the pickup at the end of the race, when they try to get the muzzle off him !! F'ck me, it's a wonder the dog could breath it being on that tight ...
Anyways he still needs to be smart out of the traps in this final but if he avoids trouble at that first bend , he's a big player and at 10/1 looks the value to make the first two in what will surely be a rough race at that first bend .. glk all ...

So yes for me the value is Cloran Paddy ..e/w at 10's

If it can overcome it's T5 draw I think Hiya Butt could well be value as well. It is the quickest trapper in the race and if anything barely stays the 480 metres. With the 3 races in 8 days stretching it's fitness the extra few days rest he could surprise.
