Chelsea look at Guus Hiddink as an interim manager, plus all the latest stories from Thursday's national newspapers. DAILY MAIL Former Holland boss Guus Hiddink is being considered as a potential caretaker manager for Chelsea should the club decide to sack Jose Mourinho. Swansea City are locked in negotiations in their attempts to land Marcelo Bielsa but have virtually given up on recruiting Garry Monk's replacement in time for Sunday's clash with West Ham. Arsenal are continuing to check on Borussia Monchengladbach's Swiss international midfielder Granit Xhaka. Tottenham will offload defender Federico Fazio next month, with West Brom a possible landing spot for the 28-year-old. Norwich have talked to Sampdoria over a possible move for striker Eder, while Wolves forward Benik Afobe is also on their radar as a potential January transfer target. DAILY EXPRESS Marseille are in talks over a January move for Chelsea defender Papy Djilobodji, who has made just one appearance after joining for £3m in the summer. Roman Abramovich is keeping the faith with Jose Mourinho - but defeat against Sunderland would almost certainly end his second spell as Chelsea manager. The discussions over possibly succeeding sacked Garry Monk at the Swans' had stalled over the Argentinian's financial demands. Tottenham will have to put any move for Marseille hitman Michy Batshuayi on hold until next summer at the earliest as the player has no intention of moving before Euro 2016. Oscar Garcia has emerged as a candidate to take over as Reading manager. Garcia left Watford after 27 days in September 2014 because of a health scare, but he is fully recovered. DAILY STAR Kevin Grosskreutz's agent is set for talks with Galatasaray top brass over a Liverpool move for the German defender. Chelsea are looking at Diego Simeone as Jose Mourinho's long-term successor. Steve McClaren has told Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote he wants him to stay at St James' Park.
