Default bankroll building/management

recieved a private message and was asked if i would give my insight into bankroll management and achieavable targets so here it is..................

first thing i will say is building up a large bankroll from football betting isnt going to happen overnight (unless u get lucky on ur 10 team acca) its a grind, but an enjoyable one as ur bankroll builds

after having many up and down swings just normal match betting, i began to think about a way i could really make a living from football betting and what i would need to do to make it work!

i came up with the fact that u only have to triple ur money 3 times in a row to hit 26/1 acca, with the little over 2/1 u normally get on ur picks, after 3 triple ups ur going to be around 30/1

so if u start with £50 and triple ur money 3 times in a row ur going to have a minimum of £1350, the bet i use now (as u all know is the goal line) my minimum double odds is 3.25 because i never take less than 1.80 (4/5) so £50 becomes £1716 for me, i thought to myself how much i want to make each week and how much i would need to make it happen

i decided that i would be more than happy if i was making £500 a week, TAX FREE! i knew i could consistantly make £500 a week if i was placing £200 doubles at minimum odds of 3.25, the thing about taking odds of 2/1 minimum is even only if u win 1 out of every 3 attempts ur still going to be break even at worst and with my odds of 3.25, 1 out of 3 wins still makes u profit.

so with that plan in mind i now had to get the bankroll to be able to place £200 doubles, and i turned to my idea that with £50 3 doubles later would give me at least £1700, and that was enough i thought to give me the head start i needed,

my first £50 double won and i put all of it on another double which lost, so i was left £50 down, i got straight back on the band wagon and put another £50 double on which won and i put all my winnings on another double which also won! after my 2nd double came in i was sitting with little over £600, i decided to take out the £100 i had already used from my own pocket (to cover myself if it lost) and i placed the remaining £508 on what i hoped was the double that was going to get me my bankroll i needed, the bet did come in after goals in the 87th and 91st minute (lucky or what) gave the scoreline 2-1 (it was the gretna v celtic game)

by the end of the day i was sitting with a few £s under £2000 and was feeling on top of the world with the bankroll i needed to start betting £200 doubles

i am currently betting £250 doubles and am looking to move up and up and eventually (god willing) will be betting £1000 doubles, if i ever get up to placing £1000 doubles, then even if i only ever win 1 out of every 3 doubles ill still be making a minimum of £250, which isnt bad for 2 losing bets out of 3!!

thats the thing i like about minimum 2/1 u can lose 2 out of every 3 bets and still make money

if u want to make this work u have to be patient and very discaplined!!, i spent the first 6-7 weeks pissing my money away because i wanted the bankroll there and then and was doing trebles (sometimes 4 way accas), until i gave myself the kick up the backside i needed and finally stuck to doubles!! remember if u do a treble instead of a double that is now an extra chance of LOSING!! it doesnt take a rocket scientist to know ull hit more doubles than u will trebles

dont get me wrong i still do trebles and accas, but they are for small stakes and not the scource of my income, theres nothing sweeter than sticking £10-£20 on a big acca to get about £2000 back, but its not going to happen every week is it and isnt going to make u money consistantly

sometimes when i do my £250 double i sometimes take £250 from the returns and bet the rest on the next double,

for example if i bet £250 at 3.25 my returns are £812.50 so after 2 winnings doubles ill have £1625 (£1125 profit)

but if i bet £250 and it wins ill get £812.50, i take out my £250 which leaves me £562.50 and bet this on another double at 3.25 my returns when it wins are £1828 add my £250 i took out and after 2 doubles i now have £2078 (£1578 profit)

betting this way now gives me an extra £453 from back to back winning doubles, if the 2nd double doesnt win then i still have the £250 i started with and im no richer or poorer, i started betting this way after noticing in my records that i was winning 2 in a row, then losing 1, then winning like 3 in a row b4 losing another 1, then going on a run of 5 in a row b4 maybe losing another 1, by betting just the £250 on every double i noticed i was losing out on quite abit of cash by not taking the £250 out and betting the rest

lets just say i bet the £250, take out the £250 and bet the rest, hitting 4 doubles in a row is going to give me an extra £906 after 4 bets, than if i was just sticking to £250 doubles

if some of u are wondering why i take out the £250 b4 the second bet, it is because i dont want to lose money, if i bet it all on the second double then im losing £250 from my bankroll if it doesnt win, taking the £250 out covers me for if the second double doesnt win, obviously if i bet £250 at 3.25 then put that £812 at 3.25 ill get returns of £2369 (£811 more than if i take the £250 out)

im happy with the fact that im getting an extra £453 from winning back to doubles, i dont want to be risking £250 of my bankroll by not taking it out of the second bet just for an extra £358

if i take it out, i get £453 extra from back to back wins, if i dont take it out i get £811 extra from back to back wins, so the difference is only £358, which means i am risking my £250 (ill lose it if the second double loses) to win £358 which is odds of 2.43 (ODDS I DO NOT LIKE)

this may sound like a load of rubbish and ull think im rambling on, but i hope some of u nderstand it and take from it as u will and make urselvs and ur families alot of cash!!!

final thing i will say is DISCAPLINE is the key!! dont be tempted by the extra payout of a treble or a 4 fold

i 100% guarentee u, u will hit 3 consecutive 2/1 doubles (giving u 26/1 acca) alot more times than u will ever hit a 26/1 single acca

trust me guys, 3 consecutive doubles is alot easier than hitting a 26/1 (7-8 team acca)

one question u need to ask urself is..............in 3 years time do i want a bankroll of £100,000 (which is defiantly do-able) or do u want to be sitting wishing u had a bankroll of £100,000???

DISCAPLINE!!

Cool

Yes Brilliant, it's the same as an old Blackjack system a mate of mine used to play...... excellent and as you say, DISCIPLINE is the key, having the discipline to follow the bet through AND the discipline to go back to the original stakes after the 3x's doubles!!
Great post again "man" glk and thanks benny

Default Well i have to agree.......

Firstly with any form of betting the number one rule is to make a profit however big or small, for example when betting on horses in most races i may have 2 or 3 horses in the same race.
I have my biggest bet on the one i think or have heard will win and then one or two savers which gives me a better chance of winning because the more horses i have the less the bookie has to beat me. The average priced winner on the flat is 7/2 so take that into consideration when staking. Day to day races my normal stake on say a 3/1 shot will be £25 if the race has 8 or less runners and the value is there i will have another £10 win or £5 e/w on another selection bigger then 3/1 this then gives me 25% of the field, now what you have to remember is that in 90% of all races only a max of 70% of the horses can win, so really in a 8 runner race you can forget about one or maybe two horses as they have vertually no chance of winning due to certain reasons like, no good, too much weight, dont like the course or dont like the distance, now if i have two horses in the race and say there are 2 that i dont think can win that then gives me a 2/1 chance of collecting as the bookie only has 4 horses against my 2.
When you hear about pro gamblers who make a living out of betting you will see that they back multiple horses per race and people like Dave Nevison who has made millions from horse racing always bets like this. He has won the Scoop 6 more then 8 times and the bonus 4 times netting well over 2 million, the way he does it is by having maybe ALL the runners in a 5 horse race in combinations, a big outlay but still a tidy profit at the end of the day.

In big sprint races of 17 or more runners then i usually have maybe 3 or sometimes 4 in a race, NEVER leave yourself exposed with only one runner on the side that cant win (ie) low or high draw.
Always look for a bit of value when placing a bet, If you lay out £30 and get £80 back then a £50 profit is great.
A lot of punters forget the golden rule, always take a profit if one is there however small it maybe.......

Now over the next few days i will start to post races that im betting on and put up all my bets in each race for you to follow and see what i mean.

The goal line betting is a very good way to make money as once again you are giving yourself more chance of winning as you dont care who scores in a game as long as if you have overs the game has 3 or more goals (ie) The Leeds game on Tuesday a game i had overs in thinking Leeds would win easily, how wrong i was but how right i was to go high. I think INTHEKNOW will agree his overs on CHARLTON V COLCHESTER was based on Charlton winning and not as it turned out with COL UTD winning. But the bet once again gives you a small upper hand against the bookie.

Anyway i think its great were getting more and more info on here about betting management as its the most crucial part of any form of gambling, so good luck with all your bets and remember ALWAYS GIVE YOURSELF THE ADVANTAGE AGAINST THE BOOKIE............GLK

Looks like a very good system. One quick question though.

Would you not need to be backing doubles @ 4.25 to make sure you broke even from a win rate of 1/3?

Default Timmy1

its meant to be 1 out of 3

so 3 £100 doubles @ 3.25, if i only win with 1 and lose the other 2, i still end up £25.00 in profit
