Pro bounties, guaranteed prize pool, a deep tournament structure, and the usual friendly atmosphere - all for just £180+20. Frequently Asked Questions Where and how do I register? Registration is available via the Black Belt Poker online cardroom only. To enter, locate the tournament in Scheduled > Black Belt Tournaments > Newcastle Live and select 'register'. If you don't already have an account, then opening one is easy: simply download the poker client and follow the step-by-step process provided. Can I register using Spending Points? Yes. Tournament tokens are available for purchase in the Black Belt Poker Store under the category Live Events at a cost of 9,690 Spending Points. How much is the entry fee? The buy-in for the Main Event is an affordable £180+20. Can I buy other people in? Anyone who wishes to enter has to do so themself by downloading the Black Belt Poker client and registering via the tournament lobby under their own account. Can only Black Belt Poker players play? Newcastle is open to all players, although to enter you must have opened a Black Belt Poker account and registered via the tournament lobby. Where will the event be held? All players will start with a stack of 15,000 with blinds increasing every 40 minutes. What time does each day start? Each day begins at 13:00, although the start time for Day 2 may change depending on number of survivors. When will the breaks be? Breaks will occur at the following times: First Break: 15:40-15:55 (15 minutes) Dinner: 18.35-19.15 (45 minutes) Final Break: 21:20 - 21:35 (15 minutes) When does each day finish? The final day will play to a finish, but Day 1 will finish at around 23:30.* * subject to change What is the prize pool? No estimates here; Black Belt Poker are guaranteeing a prize pool of £10,000. Payout structure is subject to change dependent on number of runners. What's the prize structure? The prize structure will be announced on Day 2 and is dependent on number of entries. Are there any satellites for the event? Black Belt Poker are hosting a weekly satellites: $25+2.50 No Limit Hold'em Freezeout Thursdays, 20:00, 1 seat guaranteed into Newcastle Live There will be three weekly feeders into the satellite: £5+0.50 No Limit Hold'em Freezeout Mondays, 20:00, 1 seat guaranteed £5+0.50 No Limit Hold'em Freezeout Tuesdays, 20:00, 1 seat guaranteed £5+0.50 No Limit Hold'em Freezeout Wednesdays, 20:00, 1 seat guaranteed Feeders start on October 28 with the final satellite taking place on December 06. Players can also exchange Spending Points for a satellite token via the Black Belt Poker Store. Can I enter a satellite if I’ve already bought in to Newcastle Live? Yes, although if you win, you will need to deregister from Newcastle Live and utilise your token instead. Can I enter a satellite if I’ve already qualified for Newcastle Live? Yes, but if you win another seat, you can't play twice! The ticket is non-refundable, but can be transferred to another player. I heard there was a Newcastle Live Freeroll… Orange, Purple and Green Belts are also eligible to play in our Newcastle Live Freerolls, which take place at 19:30 on Wednesday, October 23 and November 27. One seat will be guaranteed in each event. The event can be located in the cardroom lobby under Scheduled > Black Belt Tournaments > OBF - Newcastle Live. Will there be cash games? Apsers Casino will be hosting their usual array of cash games and SNGs. Will the event sell out? The tournament is capped at just 200 runners so is likely to sell out, and fast. Secure your seat now in order to avoid disappointment. What are the deposit methods on Black Belt Poker? We offer numerous deposit methods including: Visa Mastercard Delta Switch Neteller Ukash (through Neteller) Paysafecard (through Neteller) Moneybookers Cheque Bank Transfer You can also transfer funds from your Sportsbook account into your Poker account. How do I get paid? Any winnings will be credited directly into your Black Belt Poker cardroom account within 24 hours. Players who make the money will be required to fill in a payment form on elimination, which will also include an optional tip for the dealers. Can I pay cash on the day? No. Registration is exclusively online through the Black Belt Poker client. Can I reserve a seat? The only way to reserve your seat is by registering online through Black Belt Poker. Book now to guarantee your entry. When does registration close? Registration will close at 03:00 on Saturday, December 07. Once the deadline has passed, you will officially be entered into the event and players will be unable to unregister and receive a refund. Can I get a refund if I can't play? Refunds can only be given if you unregister from the event in the tournament lobby before online registration closes. You can not unregister on the day of the tournament. Can I turn up late? You can turn up whenever you wish, but will receive cards and post blinds in your absence. Refunds will not be given to any player who is late or wishes to cancel at any stage. How will I know where I am seated? Aspers Casino display full player lists and table/seat numbers on their plasma screens. If you are in any doubt, please feel free to ask a member of the floor team who will be happy to assist. What are the tournament rules? Black Belt Poker will be adhering to the standard Aspers Casino, Newcastle rules and policies with regards to tournament play. Do I need to bring identification to the event? If this is your first visit to Aspers Casino, Newcastle, then you will need to bring either a passport or driving license as it is a legal requirement that photographic identification is produced before membership to the venue is granted. Players who do not provide the appropriate identification will be denied entry to the club. What is the dress code? Similar to most venues, the dress code is smart casual. Jeans and trainers are acceptable, but only if in good order and clean. Hoodies are also fine. Beach attire (flip flops, shorts), tracksuits and any form of ripped clothing are not allowed. How do I get to Aspers Casino? The casino is on Newcastle Street in Newcastle upon Tyne. For directions please click here. Is the tournament area wheelchair accessible? Yes. The cardroom is open plan and fully accessible to players in wheelchairs with ramps leading to raised areas. Is there a smoking area? In line with new legislation, smoking is not permitted within the premises. As such, a fully sheltered and secure smoking enclosure is accessible from the main area.
