Quote.."The exclusivity agreement relating to transmission of football matches are contrary to European Union law," she said in her opinion.
Quite right to ..fck Murdoch and his rip-off Sky media corporations and monopolies ...

I saw an article this week about an american baseball player being praised by everyone because he quit and gave his club back a $7.5m salary rather than to sit in a physio room for the next 12 months. I thought it was a bit much fuss for the Archbishop of New York to praise him personally.... as surely anyone would not be that greedy.

Andy Carroll is never worth £35m, well played Newcastle, I'd of snapped Liverpools hands of at £15m.
I reckon he'll be a big flop, once the premiership defenders get used to his heading ability he has nothing else, he's no Pele thats for sure, again well done Newcastle for getting £35m, bigger flop than Juan Sebastian Veron for £28m, mark my words. Oh and fingers crossed, the mags plummet like stone luckily there are three worse teams in Wigan, Wolves and WBA, sneaky feeling Blackpool will survive the drop after doing a "Hull" |

In fairness Tom...to be worse then Veron that would only be possible if Carroll never kicked a ball again....
When he came to Chelsea everyone thought he was going to be one off the all time greats but like many of Chelseas big money signings he flopped within a couple of games.... They paid his wages for two seasons when he went out on loan..... Chelsea have signed bundles of flops since Roman has been there... MUTU SHEVCHENKO KESMAN VERON DEL HORNO DECO But theres only really one that stands out for me at around £28 million... SEAN WRIGHT PHILIPS......Surely the most over rated footballer ever to be transfered for so much money in Premier League history.. 10 goals in 124 apperances for Chelsea .... 4 goals in 81 games for Chelsea in the premier league a total he beat in the first month when he went back to City....

I agree too, Tiredeyes hasnt got a clue about football, unfortunately after watching midweek game against Fulham,Im a bit worried about short term future as we showed nothing all game,it was like watching sunderland, Andy carrol will always get goals and be a threat when hes out on the lash,he has a tremendous right hook and will cause problems for merseyside police force on more than one occassion, football is greed and Im fast becoming tired of it,

Andy Carroll was 6th best scorer in a Championship side that topped the division, only 6th !!!!!
Scores 11 this term, probably the form of his life and is suddenly he's worth £35m !! |

liverpool paid the money,so thats what hes worth, hes 22 yrs old,he has many strong points as a striker, liverpool need a strong forward and the deal they done was excellent, two quality players in .who will compliment each other and an injury prone striker out is a good deal. unlucky yesterday tired, did you enjoy the comeback of the century at st james park ?
