Default Aston Villa- The End?

The days of Martin O'Neil and Europe have almost been forgotten at Villa as they are slowly vanishing from the Premier League without a fight. Remi Garde took on the challenge from an enthusiastic Tim Sherwood and has since failed to motivate and inspire the Villains to battle against drop.
Of Course Remi Garde was not helped by the early injuries to two key defenders in Jores Okore and Jordan Amavi. The troubles with Jack Grealish, who last year was key to Villa's survival, has left Villa without a stand out performer. Of course not havin a goal scorer in the team has also helped kill off Aston Villa's hopes too. Scott Sinclair is the top goal scorer in all competitions with six and has only came up in the Premier League with two goals.
So what do Villa need to do to survive? They need fight and spirit amongst their team. They need to show the willingness to compete. With only three wins so far this season and seven draws in the league, they need points and fast. Especially with Sunderland starting to pick up points too. First they need to find a goal scorer, With Agbonlahor back fit and Gestede soon to return, they won't be short of options. They just need to find a effective style of play to link the forwards and use them effectively. For example, maybe take a leaf out of West Hams book. Andy Carroll is shoved up top with either a player next to or behind him. The ball is lumped up the pitch and he gets up to win it and creates various options and chances. With 6ft4" Rudy Gestede up top, this tactic could prove effective. It may not be nice to watch but it can often work and could prove vital to gaining serious points this year. Villa also need to solve their defensive issues and the amount of goals they leak. Recently shipping four against City in the FA Cup and six at home to Liverpool in the league shows their strength at the back. Villa need to tighten up and fast. Maybe park the bus to keep clean sheets and build points. Its not like Villa lack experience at the back either, Two title winning centre backs in Lescott and Richards shows that they can keep up with the Premier League. Ciaran Clark and Alan Hutton have also been in Englands top flight for a few years too and have had previous success.
Villa need to show fight and quick. Remi Garde needs to change something before they are doomed to relegation. Being 8 points off safety will make for an important few months for Villa. And if things change in team, maybe an exciting few months for all fans to watch an interesting relegation dogfight.
