Default guys i love the Idea but?

Ive decided that I really don't want to play on Ladbrokes anymore (except for the pot limit 7 card cash) It's not their RNG or anything like that, it's just that i need a change...There's an old saying in poker, " If your not enjoying it, then change it" or " For things to change, you have to change"...
I know nearly all the online poker sites have their faults but I'm fed up with the software of Ladbrokes , disconnection's all the time not just me , you look when your playing how many players keep getting disconnected and the last thing you need when your in a pot (holding the nuts) is Laddies server to start playing up...Also this "horse" 'laddiespoker2' promotion has really pissed me off
I read a post here (think it was Pkaplaya ) about the value on the horses on 'bet365' (offering starting price if bigger than the price you've taken) also not only do i have an account there but also "betfair" So why am i staying loyal to a company like Ladbrokes that couldn't give a F~~K.
This is the problem, i've got it into my head now that they are W~~~~R'S so i end up having the hump every time i go there Also if you haven't used your Player points (say 4500) they take them back at the start of a new month.. F~~~~~G Liberty
So i'll play the league but not on that site but please dont let this influence you guys if you want to play Ladbrokes, i wont feel left out..

I have to back up everything you said ...Laddies are useless for placing bets, never had anything from them in 5 years. There is much better value to be had shopping around the internet betting sites.
Its all about people not liking change and thats why they still have the customer base they still have.
As for the poker another 4 years without anything from them. I play very little on there now and tbh havnt felt ive missed out on anything.....i only play forum games, the superstars and maybe a couple of others and will continue to pick and choose what i want to play on there..

So what are we saying here? You're looking for a different site on the same network? Different network altogether?? Or just A N Other site for us all to play the forum games on, leaving our personal choice of tournament/cash games to ourselves?

The main problem you'll find, and one of the advantages of being on Lad's, is that you can very easily create your own personal, private games, setting the table up exactly how you want it off you're own back. Now unless this is network wide, and not just on the Lad's skin, ive not come across this before - I have played on ALOT of poker sites and anytime ive wanted to create/host a private game ive had to go through all kinds of set up chaos, and then you're relying on someone else doing it for you rather than you living and dying by your own actions.

As ive alluded to before, and as Bally has confirmed, I regularly create and host private games online - having done various league systems, MTT's and STT's across various networks and skins. I fully acknowledge what has been said by Benny and Tony - and very much agree - and I can definitely assist in recommending various sites unless someone has specific expectations out of what is needed.

In terms of our league, im happy to go with the flow - whichever site. Lads is not my site of choice, but playing you guys definitely is, as i love the standard of play and banter element - as Bally knows, these are my main objectives out of a game of poker!

Hi Mark....no were quite happy to continue playing the forum games on LADDIES....its much easier as you say to set up etc...and most of us have accounts there anyway...I think Benny was refering to his own choices for other games he plays...but im sure he would make an exception for the forum games as without him playing it wouldnt be the same...

Default i was actually thinking.......

......of starting up a poker league

12 players enter to it, where they play 1 6 seater game of poker each week

so each player plays a total of 11 6 seater poker games, playing a combination of each player once

points would be awarded for finishing posistion

6th= 0pts, 5th= 1pt, 4th= 3pts, 3rd= 5pts, 2nd= 7pts, 1st= 10pts

at the end of the 11 weeks the top 6 players will play in a final table game with a prizepool of $1000, the prize structure would be......

6th....$25, 5th....$50, 4th....$100, 3rd....$150, 2nd....$250, 1st....$425

the prizepool would be paid by me,

this is in the early stages of thought process, it would depend on if i could get 11 players who were commited to play the 11 games every week

i wouldnt be looking to start it until july/august

i am currently in the process of negotiating a sponsorship deal with badbeat

if i et the deal i am looking for then paying the $1000 prizepool myself wouldnt be a problem

i am currently sponsored by badbeat at the moment, and i make them good money on the cash tables, if things go as planned with the new deal, then i will be looking to start this poker league for myself and another 11 solid good poker players who are committed to play for the 1 weeks, 12 if you make the final 6

anyone interested in this idea??

Its a definate.........YAY

I will put a post up later with the start date and also the scoring system

Hopefully we will get a good turnout.

Also i think we keep the games..

$5 entry

2 x $5 rebuys

1 x $5 add on

Also im sure if this is popular we can then move it onto the idea Manintheknow has come up with.....

Default Excellent...

Well I will get to work on formatting a league table and points collator for the weekly results as they come in, and have a hunt around for a nice shield that the league winner(s) can win should they prevail. Would be good to see a history of names who have won the league....I wonder who will be the first Talksport Forum Poker League winner....

Who's gonna do the odds!!!!
