Default Good post Herbie....

I have found it quite hard to settle into the bigger fields after playing in ones of around 150-200 players...

Having made Laddies my home for the last 3 odd years the influx of new players and new games is quite hard to get my head round and in a way even though Laddies has joined forces with micro gaming to me its a bit like moving a bird into your house......you always felt you had the run of things and now that has slipped away a bit.....

The one thing i think they have got very wrong is this late entry....firstly this should only be open for 15 mins and secondly if joining after the tournie has started i think you should incur some sort of penalty ....(ie)...Maybe post a 200 ante or even pay an extra entry fee say 10% of the buy in......too many join rebuys with 10 mins to go rebuy straight away and then take the add on amassing say 6000 odd chips after only playing maybe one hand......

Im still playing a few of the Laddies only tournements but of course the gtds are minimal now and it feels Laddies are pushing players to play the bigger gtds with the massive fields..

Im finding the $10 stt games a doddle though and players on these of a fairly poor atandard.......so bad that i won 5 out of 5 the other day......

As for the disconections these are happening a bit too often and thats something that needs sorting and quickly as ive heard of quite a few examples of players being discoed in the middle of big hands and this shouldnt be happening when you have chips in a pot....

I will attempt a few of the bigger entry tournies next month when my mind set is better and like Herbie says there are easy pickings early on in mtt....

The jurys still out as far as im concerned.....

Default Well

As i have no problems with Laddies anymore I can say that i didn't really have a problem with disconnection's but if i had, then i would not be happy to think i could make a big bet into a pot and find a player thinking .. then i get discoe'd .. only to find later he'd re-raised allin and won the pot and because of disconnection and couldn't do anything about getting a call in
Mind you this could happen on any site and it's the chance you take playing online.. not nice though if it happens ..

Default Sigh

Me and my big gob, had a cash session early this morning, two tables as normal. Finish one buy in up. After a mid morning nap, and my new found belief and invincibility in my “new” cash game strategy I sit down at four cash tables, after an hour I am 3 buy ins down. Any how I regroup and focus on two tables after another hour and a half grinding away I claw back two buy ins. So net neutral for the day. The morel of the storey, don’t run before you can walk!!! Going to the pub now

I have always played on laddies and my only issue has been disconnections, massive issue and cost me many $s only to be told by them it was isp fault and not theres. I recently got lappie and a dongle thing so I have in effect 2 connections, so if problem with one i can change to other, which so far has worked the miracle, I think the late registation is great and cant see a downside,as for late players topping up and adding on, so what, they adding to prize pot and a $20 comp has cost them $60 and the early starters have had a chance to amass chips for the $20. Think its an advantage to them but they are having to pay for it.no such thing as a level playing field, always an advantage available in some respect for all players, only answer is to play freezout structure if u not happy.I like the structure in the bigger games too. I used to play too much poker and didnt enjoy it,now I only play a few times a week and the fun is returning slowly,I have the odd live game at maybury casino and a bit online, Maybe Im lucky , its nice to win $s but doesnt matter really,Im not a secret millionaire or anything close, some seem to think[not aimed at anyone specific] they are great poker players and deserve to win all the time, just because they play premium hands and get chips in when infront. poker 70% luck and 20% experience and 10% alcohol. gla
