•German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg are set to pay £33m for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, 21, after missing out on him in the summer.
•England boss Roy Hodgson is considering resting Liverpool stars over the international break - even though it could anger their Premier League rivals.
•Meanwhile, Liverpool defender Glen Johnson is interested in joining Ashley Cole at Roma when his Anfield contract expires in the summer.
