Wycombe win again - - (December 30 2016)

A review of Friday's action in Sky Bet League Two as Scott Kashket was on target again in a Wycombe win over Cheltenham.

Scott Kashket scored in his fourth successive game to hand Wycombe the points at struggling Cheltenham with a 1-0 victory.

The 20-year-old netted in the ninth minute, drilling his 20-yard shot into the bottom left-hand corner of Russell Griffiths' goal following a clever lay-off from strike partner Adebayo Akinfenwa.

It was a ninth win in the last 10 matches for the promotion chasing Chairboys and saw them move to within a point of fourth-placed Portsmouth after they could only draw 0-0 at Yeovil in farcial conditions, ruined by fog.

Hartlepool ended their dismal streak with a 3-2 win over Morecambe at Victoria Park.

Without a win or a goal since November 22, it was a different story this time as Hartlepool bagged three goals in 14 first-half minutes through Padraig Amond, Billy Paynter from the penalty spot and Nicky Featherstone.

Andrew Fleming pulled a goal back early in the second half for Morecambe and Ryan Edwards struck again for the visitors in injury time but it was too little, too late.
