..Newcastle fan tricks Sunderland players into degrading own club

A Twitter prankster managed to fool two Sunderland stars into holding up derogatory signs about their own club.

Newcastle fan Kyle Matthews got American striker Jozy Altidore and French midfielder El Hadji Ba to hold up signs saying: 'SMB' – which stands for 'Sad Mackem B*******' – an insulting jibe that some Newcastle fans use to describe their fierce rivals.

Matthews spotted both players on the street before Sunderland's game against Liverpool on Sunday and convinced them to hold up the signs before posting them on Twitter. When the players asked what the SMB stood for, Matthews told them that it was a Sunderland supporters' group.
