Default Thought i'd try

Sky Poker today as i already have a sports account there. Never been rivered so many times in one day Unbelievable, straights, flushes all beat on the river, QQ,KK against ace rags all hit aces on the bloomin river.
What can you do, no luck whatsoever.
One more game just about to start, see how it goes

Default Pkrplaya !!

It's all action ...tournaments last around 2 1/2 hours with the 7 min blind levels but i'll tell ya this with the delayed TV feed, it makes the tournament's so much more fun. The studio guests and interviews are really entertaining, i play there 2 or 3 times a week now and i'm famous for getting the bubble to the live DTD tournament next week ..

Question A few questions benny

If you'd be so kind,as the resident expert on the site
Do you have to play from the website or can you download the software?
Navigating the site is a bit of a nightmare.
Are all games 6 handed?
Are there any high paying tournies for small buyins?
Can you get the table to fill your whole screen because i cant, makes it easier when your half asleep.
Finally what can you do with your points, looks like only a few freerolls to spend them on.
Oh i nearly forgot Easiest way to make a raise, i find the slider bar is so sensitive, especially with touchpad on my laptop.
LMAO at that hand hot thing, You know the rating of hole cards, no wonder so many people play with chit, seems to think Q9 and the like are the nuts
Looks like il be playing it again doesn't it lol, not played a tv one yet though.
Thanks

Default Well i thought i would give it...

a go myself and this morning played the £50 added £1 tournie....only 27 entries but a fair standard and a top ten finish by me was rewarded with £2.75....

I found it to be alright the 6 seater i like as it speeds the games up a bit..

As for trying to find out what the cash breakdown was ...forget it, couldnt find that anywhere.

The chat etc was fine but your right Marcus that hot hand thing...

Anyway i will be having a go at the telly event for tonight so fingers crossed..

Default lol Tony

I played about 5 tournies yesterday 1 sattelite 2 players left to go out and would have won a seat, had QQ raised all in about 4x bb as i was short stack. Called by the mighty A3 he hit 3 on flop, Ace on river.
Didnt cash in any of the other tournies. Think i need to loosen up again, adjust to the 6 seaters.

Talking SkyPoker

Right...ok i had a bit of a problem at first but No you don't download you just write into your google 'Skypoker' then 'click' onto site then log in. Personally i like this as it doesn't clog up your computer space with all the junk like casino's and the like that the other poker sites download on you.

There are a few cash game 10 seater but all the tournaments at the moment are 6 seater. Ive always liked 10 seater for hold-em (6 for stud and hi-lo omaha) but with these TV tournaments being 7 min level i'm getting to like them. There is no doubt that it's a very different game and hand values take on much more wider spread as the tournament gets towards the closing stages. However if you keep the main point of "Position" as the key to the game, then you should do well in these tournaments.

Points ! Im not sure but there is a 200pt(freeroll) on a Wednesday for 1000pound..funny thing is there's only about 300 runners for this, + they run 3 or 4 20pp a day..

I don't know what the hand rating thing is, i haven't seen that

Raising ...In the box for sliding up a raise i always use my key numbers, left click on the box, makes a shadow over numbers , write the number you want to raise. One thing i always mix my raises (Not what the Pro's would do, i know they seem to like 3 times the big blinds all the time, so not to give away a bluff or big hand) When i say mix i mean... for instance, say the blinds are 50/100 , I'll write in 225 Two reasons.. (1 ) it puts a RED chip on top (this confuses some of the players) and (2) If the bet goes through and i take the pot, i win 150 ..Next time i might do the same and a big re-raise comes in, i can lay the hand down and having only lost 75 total but getting away from a hand that could have cost a lot more, while gaining valuable information about the players at the table . (Sorry i digress)...The point is write your raise for your percentage at what stage the game levels are.

Anyways good luck there, the TV tournaments have satellite's running all day and every day is a different kind of tournament .. The one i like is the Thursday Five0 limited to 50 runners, the others are open with between 300 and 650.. phew hope this helps
