UK government looks to restrict overseas online gaming operators
ONLINE
Reports have emerged that the coalition government is to move to impose tough new restrictions on overseas online gaming operators. The news comes from a 'senior government source', who said that it intends to ban advertising in the UK for online gaming operators based offshore and to stop the use of credit cards used by customers of their websites. At present only gambling operators based in the UK are required to hold a license issued by the Gambling Commission and to pay UK tax on gambling profits. Those operators based offshore thus escape the requirement to adhere to UK gaming and gambling legislation and have the competitive advantage of being able to pay a lower rate of tax. In theory, the new legislation could see those offshore operators who refuse to be licensed and to pay the higher rate of tax cease to trade in the UK.

... Sometimes you wonder why and how these firms have got away with it for so long .. This country has really gone to the dogs over the last 25 years, it's a haven for being able to fiddle the system at all levels of the community but the rich companies, along with lawyers, bankers, and city whizz kid gamblers have all been stripping this country's pensions and assets, leaving the NHS and pensioners with nothing ..
Manufacturing was killed off by Thatcher, who in turn let Blair to finish the job and open the floodgates to over 9 million immigrants who are unaccounted for
And don't get me started on the Utilities companies, water ,gas, electric ...

The bookmakers are there because we all like a bet and they lay us a price ..
However when you think we the general working public who own and run a car are now paying something in the region of 70% of our income on tax, why shouldn't these UK companies pay UK tax, maybe then we could start to run the NHS hospitals without cost worries and maybe the pensioners could sleep easy at nights ...........................
