Captain Fatso - "Oh My Days"
England v Norway preview:
'Captain Fatso' to star at half-empty Wembley FA officials are braced for England's lowest attendance since Wembley was rebuilt in 2007 when they face Norway in a friendly. The FA expects just 35,000 to 40,000 fans to turn out for England's first match since their abysmal showing at this summer's World Cup in Brazil - less than half the 90,000 capacity of the £800 million venue. The current lowest crowd for an England match at the rebuilt national stadium was 48,876, the number who watched the friendly against Sweden in 2011. As the Independent's Sam Wallace put it, Norway's "fellow countrymen, the 1980s pop trio A-ha might have a better chance of selling out Wembley." Despite the low crowd, new England captain Wayne Rooney insists he is "proud" of the chance to lead his country into a successful new era. It's possible, however, that the shine will be taken off his big moment by the slur aimed at him by Norway defender Vegard Forren before the match, labelling the Manchester United striker "a bit tubby". England coach Roy Hodgson installed Rooney as his new captain last week for the 2016 European Championship qualifying campaign following Steven Gerrard's retirement from international football in the wake of England's group-stage exit in Brazil earlier this summer. The last time the two sides met was in Oslo in 2012, Roy Hodgson's first game in charge, which England won 1-0.
