And the full-back proved Arsenal's unlikely saviour as he netted the equaliser in a 1-1 draw that keeps Wenger's side level on points with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table. City were held by Aston Villa, who claimed a vital point in their survival fight in Remi Garde's first game in charge. The hosts ended a seven-game losing streak with a hard-fought 0-0 draw. Villa remain bottom of the table and five points from safety but did at least stop their alarming slump after surviving a late scare when Fernando thumped the bar. Jurgen Klopp suffered his first defeat as Liverpool manager as Scott Dann struck a late winner for Crystal Palace. Yannick Bolasie put Palace ahead at Anfield in the 21st minute but Liverpool went into half-time level thanks to Philippe Coutinho. However, it was the visitors who found the winner, Dann earning Palace a 2-1 victory with a header eight minutes from time.
