Default something that was very interesting yesterday

Whilst playing live and getting to know people on my table it occured to me very quickly i was in the minority (playing online at laddies) when it was my turn to announce my site and alias (alias i didnt announce) everyone was ptsl at ladbrokes and couldnt understand why ANYONE played there anymore ,value reasons and shitty customer service more than the upgrade... most of them played on WH and full tilt ,betfred for the value even my hubby joined in the laughter its weird how i was defending ladbrokes even though i have been treated badly (customer service) and found i was more loyal to them than ever!!
I think its because its been my "home" for a long time and cant seem to let it go even though i have closed my account!
I think im grieving

Problem is... Its where we all served our apprenticeships for online poker.

I have the same problem, but rarely play there now.

Default Funny thing Chik

Myself and Tony were chatting last night on the phone about this very subject. We looked at the amount of players on-line (3400) and the tournament's (both being played and the ones waiting to start). Also we looked at cash tables and the conclusion was cash game players on mini-stakes were in the majority, and tournaments had very little or no guarantee payouts.
Ladbrokes as 'The Captain' says, is where most of us started playing online because to be fair Ladbrokes were one of the first company's in the UK to get up and running and (this old chestnut) there banking is second to none
However Ladbrokes have continually failed to recognise their loyal customer not in my opinion on purpose but because there senior managers and marketing team kept missing opportunities and have been greedy in not putting back and reinvesting in their paying customers. Look back over the years at the big payouts the directors gave themselves and you see where their interest really lies.
We all feel the same, that it's a shame to see our original online site which had a good community going down hill fast but if there's no value and other sites give more cash back and guarantee's what's the point of staying there.
There have always been problems with the software and this has never been resolved. Customer service would never admit it was there 'server' with all the disconnections which cost customers money for many reasons
Ultimately they in the long term are the losers and as you found out have become a laughing stock of the online and live poker players in the UK .
I doubt this will worry them to much because they are still making record profits but what price their reputation.
Glk Chik keep going to live events, it's much more fun.

Ladbrokes Announces Move to Microgaming Network as Poker Net Revenue Falls £1 Million

Ladbrokes Plc today(Thursday) announced it had signed an agreement with the Microgaming Prima network that will see LadbrokesPoker join the network in 2009, which will allow some of its players to compete against U.S.-based players.

The company also announced net poker revenue fell 6.4 percent to £14.7 million in the first six months of 2008 from £15.7 million in the first half of 2007.

The fall came as a result of “the continuing highly competitive environment affecting both player numbers and yield,” said the company.

Active customers fell by 4.6 percent to104,000, and yield per unique active fell 2.1 percent to £141.

Ladbrokes said of the move to the new network from which it already licenses its software, “…we have signed an agreement to merge our player liquidity with the Microgaming Prima network for certain tables from the beginning of 2009. We expect improved liquidity, together with further enhancements to the software and website to positively impact player numbers and yield. Importantly, this development ensures no disturbance for the customer but much higher network liquidity.”
