Ladbrokes Puppy Derby

The ladbrokes puppy derby gets underway at Monmore on Thursday.

Won in recent years by the likes of Bandicoot Tipoki with Kinda ready as runner up both have gone on to win 2010 and 2009 English Derby.

This Puppy comp is normally the best Puppy competition in England and the form normally turns out to be a very good guide for the rest of the year. However to me this years comp seems to be a very very weak competition.
The only acception to this is years favourite is Droopys Greg owned by sky sports presenter Gary Newbon, installed 4/1 generally.

Droopys Greg trained by the genius that is Nick Savva started off his career at Henlow and has won 5 out his 8 races to date and is worthy ante post favourite.

My advice would be 2 pts WIN Droopys Greg 4/1 General

Third Intention in his race 2nd to qualify as well ..

Droopys Greg got a very good draw in semis and will deffo qualify. Third intention is a bit more tricky!

Greg won his semi impressively by 4 1/4 lengths last night in 28.27.

the other 2 semis were won in 28.58 and 28.90!!!! Third intention was knocked out

A clear run is all that is needed! He is in a different league to these lot! Having said that the draw is not ideal but a clear run will do!!! Its like a group 1 winner running in a lingfield seller!!!!!

All ive heard around town from the Mick Lowe crew who had aherlow shaw were how theyd beat droopys greg blah blah blah! I had to bite me tongue and refrain from telling them they were talking bollocks! Aherlow Shaw will not beat droopys greg as long as he has a hole in his ass
