Drogba comes home.....
Chelsea will wait until after the World Cup before wrapping up the free transfer signing of Stamford Bridge legend Didier Drogba, according to the Daily Mirror.
The former-Chelsea forward is available for nothing this summer following the expiration of his Galatasaray contract and he's been tipped to return to west London to reunite with Jose Mourinho. Mourinho signed the Ivorian international during his first spell at Stamford Bridge in 2004, and Drogba went on to become a fans' favourite. He left for China in the summer of 2012 but he could be set to return after he's finished leading the Ivory Coast at the World Cup in Brazil. He will not discuss his future until after the tournament, but Chelsea are confident they're the only club he's interested in. The 36-year-old is being lined up by Mourinho for a role in the playing squad for the first year at least, before transitioning to a position on Mourinho's coaching staff. The Chelsea boss has never disguised his fondness for Drogba, and admitted last season that he would like to see him back at Stamford Bridge in some capacity. Chelsea need reinforcements up front, and the club is expected to complete a £32m deal to sign Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa. But Drogba would add impressive strength in depth to a unit that struggled to find the net on a regular basis last term.
